I'm fine with it being incorporated into tech, since it gives the Pokemon more to do and expands on its niche. I just wish they still worked on it more. Give it more formes we can use in battle, have a small game event where it acts as a poltergeist again. It's a cool Pokemon and has a lot of potential.

Computer programming code =/= electrical currents, circuits, motors, etc.
Porygon can interact with cyberspace.
Rotom can interact with and become hardware.
Major difference in abilities there.

honestly rotom is a shining example of how to properly handle single stage pokemon. Let them do other things if they cant evolve and fill a niche in the world. Instead of just... existing.

It wasn't even Porygon's fault. It was the animators/anime supervisors fault. Pikachu is the one who actually caused the red and blue strobing lights. They obviously can't cancel Pikachu, but still need someone to blame, so they banned Porygon.
