I'd like Obstagoon a lot more if it didn't randomly associate with blocking with the crossed arms. It looks much better with its arms down as can be seen when it roams in the Wild Area. Also the tongue out thing should be more of an animation than a default.

I wasn't that sure on it myself until I saw James' pic. In game the stance is too wide making the long legs look wierd but here you can see it adds to the X and supports the wall theme

Apparently he chose the shiny colors, too! That's pretty interesting because he's said before that the person who designs the Pokemon isn't always the same person that picks the shiny colors

That's the point. Instead of changing the facial structures and features to make them work with the human bodies, the heads were made 1:1 for comedic effect. It's irony, like pic related. People do this shit all the time as jokes.
