I remember reading a fake leak that the mega had an ability called "Medal to the Metal" that basically gave it speed boost with a chance to also raise attack every turn too. Was very cool thematically.

Anon, if you're gonna give it poison heal you should make it dragon/water; between the ability, its bulk and the few weaknesses of its type combo it'd be an absolutely busted tank

Eh, I guess you could be right, sadly. I like regen on more "proactive" pokemon than the ones that usually get it but I suppose if hydreigon did get it people would just use it the way they use every other fat regen-er.

Torn-T has worse defensive stats but rarely is one of the first 6 pokemons to faint in a 6v6 battle. Considering Flying as a defensive typing is not as good as Hydreigon's

Hydreigon has lots of useful resistances, coupled with Ground and less important Psychic immunity. It resists all of Corviknight's weaknesses, and being a dark type with regenerator would be an amazing niche.

Dragon poison combination still sounds more appealing to me though. Letting it have stab on acid spray and sludge bomb plus it's special defenses give it some niche as a dragon that can also check fairies entirely on it's own, though water dragon would definitely make it a monster I agree.
