>>45908710Played casually since Gen1, the type to beat the game once or twice, either using the starter or one overleveled pokemon. Recently got into nuzlocke and team composition stuff and only played ~8-10 hours of Sw/Sh at a friends.
I think they do a lot of neat little QoL improvements like exp. share being on, the hyper training gym, and allowing you to change natures. From what I played of Gen 8 it was extremely easy (I hung out in the wild area for probably 30-60 minutes, catching some pokemon I liked like Snover, did a couple raid battles, and then found out I was massively overleveled for the next few gyms).
Gen 7 is the last one I played and beat, but I liked the pokemon it introduced like Golisopod and Dhelmise. I wish they would fix the framerate, and allowing for some more flexibility in the gameplay would be fun like starting to integrate more multiplayer features that would be fun (like co-op runs, or having a type-based guild, or like a light hearted MP similar to the Join Avenue, but letting players be gym leaders with type restrictions and certain power levels so everyone could challenge someone appropriate). The cutscenes are atrocious, though I watched the pokemon gotcha youtube video and the nostlagia got to me. I'd love more optional features where players could associate themselves closer to, or learn more about, certain trainers.
Overall I think those peak moments you had when you were a kid are going to die down the more they make the game so trivial, and I'd like for them to be more inventive with adjusting difficulties for players (like how Emerald had the rematch feature, battle tower, etc.)
Also would love to see some small menu to adjust playthroughs like pokemon randomizer allows. Would be a neat way to make the game more replayable/fun.
