I'll never forget on a family trip I brought my GameCube along and played it throughout the down time. I was able to beat it in several days, and proceeded to trade all of my purified mons onto my Sapphire cart. Later that day, I took a swim with my Sapphire cart unknowingly in my pocket. Never been so devastated in my life.

I have a big soft spot for this game because it was my first ever Pokemon game, a hand-me-down from a sibling.
Before I got it from her, I used to always watch her play it. Never understood why I loved watching my siblings play games so much.

This was the team I used in my last Colosseum run, it was honestly the most fun I've had in a while because always having double battles allows you to build a team with a central strategy/theme. In this case my strategy was benefiting from the sun. Even with the very thin selection of Pokemon in Colosseum it's still a game I go to first if I want to build a new team with a fun strategy.

Also I didn't know this until I did this playthrough but the move Moonlight heals more HP when the sun is up. I always thought it would less with the sun up.

It's a hard mother fucker to nuzlocke too. The furthest I've ever made it was to Dakim in Realgam tower. My team was similar to yours, except I had Ampharos and Mantine in place of Magcargo and Jumpluff. I was btfo by Earthquake cheese.

I've never thought of doing a nuzlocke for Colosseum. I can see how that can be difficult, even before the final gauntlet at Realgam. There are battles that can catch you off guard if you aren't ready for them/don't know what's coming.

Because of this game’s horrible money economy, you have to pick the mons you want early and not waste time trying to catch every shadow mon. Believe it or not I didn’t have to use those revives until Dakim, but they didn’t matter. Doubles in advance were hard.

My little sister once forgot her gba outside while it was running ruby and it rained overnight, the batteries still had a little juice left in them by time she found it the next morning and despite having been powered on the whole time there was no permanent damage once it was dried and cleaned. Granted, the only reason we knew to even try that and had the tools on hand was because our mom has a degree in electronics and our dad being an IT guy had all sorts of odd screwdriver bits to get into stuff like that since a lot of companies use proprietary bullshit instead of standard hardware to trap customers into either replacing machines or going back to the manufacturer for expensive repairs.

I burned out and started playing XD instead, but I'll get back to it eventually. I'm well over 100 hours in Colosseum now, but the time in that game doesn't go higher than 99:59 so I don't know.

You're forgetting most of this board is underage or at least born after the gamecube's release. Most of them have never played it and those who've at least booted up an emulator can't get past the fact that the n64 models were reused and the only physical/special split is the shadow moves in Gale of Darkness. As for the rest of us, even those who wouldn't call them their favorites, we know these games are actually good and not just "good for a pokemon game."

Just got to playing it as a non-pokéfag (got out after gen 2) going through the series, didn't actually expect a thread.
Everything being double battles is a nice change of pace and you actually can't grind as mindlessly so you'll probably just progress instead of beat up on the same trainers.
I ended up beating fatso 11-13 levels lower, but that's with the 3 legendaries on the team.
Normal trainers should've had more evolved mons, LV36 wingulls/shroomish/whatever on rematches is stupid

I assume you mean the postgame, as Evice (fatso) was doable. Already saw something about high 60s, but that's no Crystal so it'll be fine. Could probably grind the colosseums for a bit.

Like I said 3 dogs (or whatever, Entei got critted on a switch anyway), 2 Eevolutions and a filler Piloswine because I had a spot. Around 47-48 in that battle.
Didn't use any TMs yet or really look into a team. I'm normally one of the shitters who prefers to be same level with my trashtier story content parties, but that's really not needed when you get good shit given to you. Didn't really have a problem with anything before that and didn't really have to use items except two pots at the end. don't bully
