>>45914146IIRC it was because having “Version” in the titles confused parents buying the game for their kids into thinking it was just the latest version of a game their kid already owned and not an entirely new one, so they’d end up not buying it. It was also kind of redundant, since the existence of other subtitled Pokemon games released alongside it implies that they’re different versions to begin with.
