I was really having a tough time getting one in the first place; it wasn't hailing no matter how much I waited at the step of Mount Lanakila, so I had to first catch an Alolan Sandshrew, level it up 2 times, then use all 8 of my rare candies to level it up to 42 for it to learn hail.
Then, I realized that LITERALLY every single goddamn encounter there had something annoying about it. Gumshoos has Super Fang to chunk tanky mons, along with Mud Slap to make it really annoying to try to knock out SOS calls, Raticate have Hyper Fang and Sucker Punch to burst through tank, Snorunt almost always heal in the snow, making it harder to SOS, Absol have Sword Dance and Night Slash to sweep anything. Only Alolan Sandshrew was bearable, and even those could whittle me down with Iron Head. Absolute insanity. I wanted to tear my hair out with a 10% chance to get Vanillite, I don't know how the hell people can try to catch Castform with that 1% chance.
