The absolute last fucking thing I want is them shoving dynamax into the creation trio and ruining their potential of ever getting anything interesting.

In the exact same fashion they made PRIMAL KYOGRE/GROUIDON which were basically just special megas and ULTRA BURST NECROZMA which it accesses with it's super Z-move, they'll shove TEMPORO-MAX DIALGA SPATIA-MAX PALKIA on us and it'll be shit.

Gen IV is arguably in a more playable state than RSE. The DS games have aged pretty well, barring the gameplay lag in Gen IV.

Are you meth-addled adhd kid? they play fine. I just replayed Pearl over the course of a few months, it still plays great. I advise you take a break from speedrun and minmaxxing before you approach a work of art like gen 4 again. Or should i say gem 4 because it is somewhat a hidden gem, a "diamond" in the rough so to speak.

I see your point, but what makes you think it'd be a solid improvement overall? ORAS was decent, but it didn't went on the lenght of improvements that HGSS did and even downgraded postgame. FRLG was laughably bad to the point where the original titles are actually better.
HGSS is the only remake that actually felt close to being the definitive edition, and ORAS was shortly before GF started fully heading into their current state.
Maybe I'm being biased, but I fear a Gen IV remake would be very watered down in comparison to past remakes, if their recent titles are any indicator.

And not just the postgame. It gave a free legendary halfways through, added handholding and teleports that discouraged exploration, removed a couple of dungeons (in true modern GF fashion) and how the fuck am I overleveled all the time even though I switch teams?

How so? It had some flaws like 90% of the new content being shoved off as postgame, limited evolutions and the convoluted prereqs to trade with other games. But as a pure RBY experience it's just better.

Disregarding the flaws you already mentioned, I've played both, and even though I would generally pick FRLG if I feel in the mood to play Gen I, that has more to do with the additional content. Gameplay wise, I prefer the original, and it's not like I'm even a genwunner that grew up with it. The latter just feels a lot slower in comparison.
