pokemon has little replayability due to one save file per cart/profile and event mons discouraging people from starting over

Pokemon isn't really the kind of game most people play thru. Always been that way. You can't even claim "but the Switch lets you have multiple save files!" because that is worthless to anyone that is not a Nuzlocker since a new file means having to re-collect all TMs and resources and more.

at least now on the switch you can just make a second profile and start a new game on that one without deleting the first
