The most retarded part is that Game Freak uses "Game Balance" and "animations" as excuses for this when Gen VIII is a power-creeped clusterfuck and the models-animations for the old Pokémon are as lifeless as they've always been.
Meanwhile, Bandai Namco makes gorgeous-looking sequel to a beloved classic and gives the Pokemon in it lively animations that fit their personalities. To top it all off, they give Meganium (The starter Game Freak hates the most, from the trio Game Freak hates the most) a prominent role in the trailer and the cover.
