They have solid designs already. I can't imagine what they could change. The ORAS redesigns on NPCs for the most part weren't drastic but they picked out more vibrant colors where they could. Tbh, I am excited to see what they'll do with them.

Everyone remembers Fantina.
The father/son drama makes Roark and Byron memorable.
Gardenia has regular threads on this board.
Volkner is edgy and cool as fuck.

Maylene is a bit on the weaker side but still quite popular.

As for the other two..I don't see anyone talk about Candice but some coomers, but at least Wake is a cool guy.

Looking back, the redesigns for the gym leaders and elite four were honestly pretty good, Glacia for example, looks waaaay better in ORAS than in the og games, the only negative thing I could say would be Wallace becoming significantly more flamboyant, but I don't think it's that egregious. Personally I'm way more worried about what they'll do to Dawn and Lucas, May and Brendan's redesigns fucking suck
