Why doesn't GF release Pokemon main games for the PC? It'd just make them more money.

Unlike mario, zelda, etc. Nintendo only holds a fraction of the IP. If Gamefreak and Creatures decided they want to make pokemon games on PC, Nintendo wouldn't be able to stop them.

To sell consoles. If all games were available on PC nobody would have a reason to buy consoles.

Everyone I know that buy DS/3DS did it for Pokemon Games

Same for GBA, and Gameboy

They'd lose a SHITTON of console sales that eventually lead to other additional services and game purchases.

Nintendo is the publisher, they need to have the right to use the names and logos in order to advertise Pokemon games.
they do not have any IP ownership over Pokemon, they have trademark rights under contract from TPCi so they can do their fucking job.

They own the master trademarks on Pokémon and the TM's of every pokémon name anon. They part-own TPC alright, but it's the smallest share, due to their position as publisher/TM owner. The fact without GF giving the development budget to make Pokémon, despite GF owning devrights on the core games, they don't get made.
Nintendo pulls the strings kid, much as people here want to ignore it.

I have no doubt that Nintendo pulls the strings, they own 33% and have a majority stake in one of the other 33% owners which effectively gives them control by proxy.
Doesn't change the fact that legally Nintendo doesn't own the Pokemon IP directly.
