Then make a team that counters those 10. You have almost 900 pokemon to choose from, not counting forms. There's no way that these hypothetical 10 meta-dominating pokemon can counter every single member of the dex.

Compfags, this is a turn-based JRPG series. When people say that they want post-game, what they meant is that they want more stuff to do within the world that they're thrown into aside from "catching them all", something which you can do pretty quickly via pokebank/home.

I play video games to derive enjoyment from the game itself, not to "own noobs" online so I can derive my self-worth from seeing myself ranked higher on some arbitrary list. That lost its appeal to me after I turned 18.

The mini games from Pokemon stadium and stuff like the Shellos racing would be cool. It seems like way too much effort for Gamefreak to go through, but it would be welcome but implementing stuff like Rhydon races from the anime or anything else would be kinda complicated.

I spend my post game time catching and breeding perfect mons to make future bros. Lost all of my Pokémon from what felt like a decade of collecting after my 3DS was stolen, so now I just get to make more. Even managed to get a new shiny Venusaur, my favorite Pokémon, in a friend ball to Master Ball rank.

Hoping the battle frontier comes back, but if not, I’ll just keep stacking up more perfect IV, EV’d Pokémon I really like.
