Anything good about LGPE was already done in Gen I or FRLG. It's original content is like fan fiction meets Pokémon-Amie meets GO. Gen IX will not make me go "Galar was so comfy, I miss it". It will make me even more despondent because Game Freak will only make things worse. The only thing that Game Freak is consistently impressive with for the past 7-8 years is how they manage to lower the bar every goddamn time. Every time I keep thinking "It can't get worse than this, they wouldn't go any lower", and every time I'm surprised.
