So are we finally getting that Dialga and Palkia Fusion they teased in the beginning of the game and showcased on the Manga?

In the game, it was just a clever visual trick to simultaneously depict both Palkia and Dialga. In the manga, it was a compromise due to there only being one version of the manga.

Well, after Kyurem it seems fusions have appeared in some form for legends after every single gen:
Zygarde cores are a sort of fusion
Necrozma + Sol/Lun is a sort of fusion
Calyrex + Horse are a sort of fusion

So really, I wouldn't be too surprised. Honestly don't care so long as the plot regarding it is good. It would represent the epitome of matter as opposed to Giratina's antimatter.

We’re gonna get fusions like we did for Calyrex. Dialga + Palkia, then post-game Dialga/Palkia + Giratina. Azelf + Dialga, Mespirit + Palkia, Uxie + Giratina, would be really dope but GF isn’t that creative.

That visual trick wouldn't be possible to recreate in a 3D remake though, so I'm guessing the statue will just be a retextured Dialga/Palkia model depending on the version

Its also impossible to recreate in non-pixel art, which is why the manga didn't do the "trick". The 3d games can easily do something similar.
