What happened to the breedie vs. injectfag wars? Has LGPE/SWSH improved the breeding mechanics so much that rendered injecting obsolete?

I haven't bought a pokemon game in 7 years so I don't even have the choice of whether or not I want to breed or inject, I just play showdown because it's faster than both

I gave up after playing Moon and seeing how shitty it was. They say USUM is better, but I can't even be bothered to pirate it. Same goes to SwSh. I'll stick to the GBA/DS era until GF makes something better.

If you consider breeding being made faster to be an 'improvement' then isn't the logical conclusion just to inject? It's still faster no matter how much they QoL they add to the game.
