what was the reason these games got greenlit? Its like they were going for a Pokemon game with final fantasy 7 (ish) aesthetics. I’m not complaining, they look like a lot of fun but GF didn’t make them right?

Genius Sonority, a side company, made them.
Why the games got greenlit? I guess since GameFreak realized that Pokémon would be making Nintendo and them a lot of money, they wanted another company to make the spinoff games while GF themselves worked on the maingames (and other shit like Drill Dozer).

Fucking loved Colosseum. Orre instantly became my favourite region, the whole aesthetic and soundtrack was so based.
