It was. I don't get /vp/'s problem with the Maison. I understand and agree with the problem in relation to ORAS but in XY it was probably the best "tower" in the franchise. My only complaint is that there weren't enough Multi-partners.

This is why I liked ultra moon's battle tree better. I could use Mewtwo, Lugia, Rayquaza, Palkia, Yveltal, and Zygarde on level 100 and mow through the thing with no difficulty.

Yeah, this was an honest improvement to the Crystal, RS, DP, and BW1 Battle Towers. I think Pokemon fans are just so used to having that 3rd game with a ton of extra shit to do that the Maison wasn't as memorable.

Plus the theming was on point.
I get hating Battle Facilities as a whole since they're grindy shitholes with difficulty being based on an "unlucky" match that erases all your progress. But Battle Maison seems to get a lot of flack despite being the basic battle facility that introduces the most improvements. It's amazing how long the 7-battle-set survived despite it only making sense in Crystal
