There’s nothing wrong with this. People who complain about this would never make an attempt to use the old forms anyway. There have always been Pokémon who are objectively better than others. Ultimately you should what you want

this. the designs shouldn't be based on memes or comedy though. Alolan Raticate is a good example of what a regional pokemon should be. It's based off a real historic event, it has another line related to it (Gumshoos), and it seems believable.

Alolan Raticate is clearly better than Raticate, and Galarian Linoone would have been better than Linoone if they hadn't stripped away both Extremespeed and Belly Drum from it.
