>>45975961>I personally think that it would also take a lot of strategies away in terms of both meta and single-player experience since you definitely won't have too many buttons for unique attacksthe switch has 12 "gameplay" buttons, the four arrows, XYBA, and the left right buttons. we then have two stick buttons and the +/- buttons
the arrows could be used for moves (keeps the four move style)
L/R could be used to quick swap between your different pokemon and the trainer (with pressing both to confirm the selection)
no clue what to give LZ and RZ
pressing the stick used for camera would reset the camera
holding it would zoom the camera in or out.
pressing the stick used for movement would toggle between running and walking.
B used to jump/fly
Y could be used to use a item on a quick bind
X used to open up the menu
A to toss a quick bound pokeball
+ and - could be used for some game specific mechanic.
and on the strategy thing, cheesy strats like ability and potion spamming that turn based prevents could easily be countered by adding cooldowns.
>I fear that a lot of Pokémon would feel same-ish, I doubt they'd implement a unique moveset for all Pokémon regardless of how large or small the roster is.just need unique animations for every m... ok yeah i see where you are coming from.
