I remember when this was airing in Japan and the trailers were being posted on YouTube. People couldn’t believe Cyndaquil was gonna evolve or Paul and Ash were gonna bring new teams to the League. Definitely the best league ever Kalosperms need to stop sperging out over Alain and Greninja

I'm alittle disappointed Pail basically restructured his entire team for his final fight with Ash even though it fits with his character. Them both having the same team composition as Lake Acuity would have been kino.

Shinji is the ONLY good rival in the entire anime. He and Satoshi have an ideological difference, and he shows up fairly often. When he and Satoshi battle they're always portrayed as equals in terms of their power but in the end Satoshi's final victory is not about strength but rather about his ideology being the better ideology. God DP was such a great series.
