I feel like because of home were eventually going to get another game with all of the pokemon. Either the Gen 4 remakes and/or Gen 9. I only think this because you can't transfer your pokemon back to the 3ds after they've been put in home. It would be pretty dumb if some pokemon were stuck in there for literally ever.
