There's lots of possible reasons for why you'd want to be "charitable" without even being prompted:
- you want to keep the client & get more commissions from them in the future
- it's easy to draw because attractive is basically the default in art (especially anime) and you can do it in your sleep by now.
- it's easier on your own eyes and those of your audience (if you're allowed to publicly upload the commission in some form) if you're known for cute stuff
- no risk of the creator getting pissy on Twitter and - intentionally or unintentionally - sending a mob of their fans your way
- you just straight up want to be polite
I don't see much of a reason to go the other route unless you feel morally obligated to a certain degree of accuracy, or the guy paying you immediately clarifies that drawing him as a fat fuck is A-OK.
