God Gen 4 really was the fucking worst. It started the trend of wristband gimmicks that do nothing but act as an ad to sell toys.

Because that would involve completely rebuilding Sinnoh to the likeness of Alola and Galar when they have a perfectly serviceable engine they used with LGPE.
Oh, and they make multiple games at once. They probably were still working on the remakes before they even started forking SWSH.

There was nothing wrong with the Poketch, just like there was nothing wrong with the Mega Ring. Both had uses that could evolve or persist in future games regardless of whether or not they were removed.
Z-Rings and Dynamax Bands were made for the express purpose of being abandoned. This is why Z-Moves don't work outside of Alola and Dynamax doesn't work outside of Galar. Neither spin-offs nor other main games have these. What say you?

It was the second remake of Kanto, only had 153 Pokemon available, no held items, no abilities, and no breeding but still sold more than Fire Red and Leaf Green. Anyone parroting that LGPE flopped is brain dead.

It did though. It underperformed, took 2 years to reach that 12.5m sales and was obliterated by the new Gen game, both in reception and in use, given GO/Home compatibility went live. I doubt the series is dead, but it ain't being rezzed any time soon.
