Just boring.

Pokemon designs have somehow managed to become more and more boring the more complex they get.

Gen 1 had a fucking purple rat. A rat, but now it's purple, and yet somehow it's way more charming than the focus tested over-designed shit of Sword and Shield. It's like the more they try to make something cool, the less it actually is.

Well, there's no way Unown is coming back. And consider how the Johto starters have been treated, (No Megas when the starters on either side of them got them, Typhlosion being mogged by Shillzard in every possible way for 20 years, Meganium being stuck as an untiered shitmon) we can kiss the Johto Starters goodbye.
