Something I've always wanted in the series is there to be variations in each pokemon, like color and height

Stadium 1 and 2 did that. It's all based on how you make your Pokemon and your Trainer ID. I'm sure there's a list somewhere.

I remember some old image with I think Gyarados that had like 10 different colors and went from common to rare with common Gyarados being shades of blue and rarer ones being distinct colors like red and gold
I think a system like how Polished Crystal / Stadium series does it would work really great where for example most Gyarados would be various shades of blue but shinies would just stay the same

This isn't the image but it gets the same point across. I like this but I would make the shines much rarer and would make the color variations completely random based on hue instead of of rarity
