>>45999205I hate to get into long-drawn arguments over fucking opinions. But whatever.
>it's pretentious because it's different!!!!There's nothing wrong with trying something different. And what if I liked the execution? You ignoring how it left me curious to knowing more about the story due to it's foreboding display. I think a good opening catches your attention, whether it's with good animation, pieces of story, music etc, and makes you want to learn more about the game. That's what that opening did for me.
>It's self-defeating later on as it reveals things that were supposed to be a surprise in the story. It's meant to set a mystery to you and allows you to put together those pieces together as the story reveals more details to you later. Like fan theorizing. If you wanted to be completely blindsided by the twists, then yeah it failed.
>The rest is generic grandoise crap that doesn't stand out at all. There's a ceremony going on in the shadows and someone's being crowned king of soemthing, presumably the entire region. How does that not fit the scene?
>It was Ghetsis who made all of that happen, therefore N doesn't matter somehow? How does that discredit N's importance to the story? Ghetsis can't even be chosen as a hero by the legendaries, and him beating the league wouldn't be so important without them.
>I guess it's my fault for not being clear enough but I was referring to the game footage with generic words over it.Fair enough. That segment was just for showcasing gameplay.
>No, you're just a biased idiot who lets personal preference get in the way of properly analyzing an argument. Nah. You've just made false points in general. Saying it's pretentious without any explanation and then, saying that it gave an important character unreasonable importance are poor criticisms. Maybe, you could explain why it was pretentious and I would've ignored that and saying that N doesn't deserve the spotlight is wrong.
Either way, I'm done here.
