There is a demonstrable drop in game quality starting in gen 6. You can complain about Hoenn's water or Sinnoh's HMs or Unova's regional dex all you like, but this truth is readily apparent to anyone who plays through all the games right now. Eh, i dunno about that anon. While you're right that this board's general thought on a region shift over time, there still are plenty of people here hating on gens 4-6, as well as some that liked gen 7.
