I miss the times "special" in game legendary pokemon could be put on wonder trade such as yveltal, groudon and lunala on the 3ds games. I'm gonna release the Rillaboom I got from wonder trade just to be safe. Back when I taught a hacked Kyogre how to use psychic, energy ball, flash cannon and dark pulse on diamond, I wasn't stupid enough to trade it. Plus it was blocked anyway. Legendary pokemon hacked on route 1 can't be traded.

If the mon is legal it'll be allowed through. It checks Ability availability, moves, EVs (because some people might inject something or use a cheat to bypass the 510 limit), formes (to make sure there's no permanent Megas, in battle formes like Complete Zygarde, etc.), and stuff like that

Find events or games where the Pokemon you want is avaliable as a shiny to use as a base. Use the hyper training option instead of just giving it 6 IVs if you are paranoid. Just make sure all the details match the event or in-game location, the legality checker within PKHeX is usually good at catching anything dodgy.

If it went through Wondertrade then it's probably not going to cause any issues. I think they track items if you obtain a ton of rare items in a very short time, like with the hacked raids that were giving out 999 ore, bottle caps and shit. Getting a couple of random master balls through WT won't be an issue because some retarded kid could have done it.

The people getting banned seem to share accounts with sellers who put the illegal mon into that account instead of using a private account. Anyone who got banned using a normal account simply obtained that illegal mon and stored it into Home. The bullshit about modified save data hasn't been seen yet since nobody came forward with any proof that they were banned from SwSh, just HOME.

Both it seems. I had a shiny Regieleki from someone who seems to have traded hacked mons and it's flagged as being unable to be traded, but my other shiny Regieleki and my shiny Regidrago are fine.

They're either flagging just the nicknames, the nicknames and OT info, or just the OT. That creates a problem because while incredibly unlikely it is possible to have a same TID and SID as another trainer. Like almost a non existent chance but it can happen. I haven't been banned for having that mon though, it's just flagged. They might also use the original account to flag since SwSh mons keep track of Pokémon Home data. I can trade just fine, including mons that shouldn't pass the checker but do because of events (level 30 legendary beasts, etc.)

So far he seems to be right. The average user doesn't need to worry, the mons will just be banned from going on the GTS, but your account won't be banned for having them. That has been my experience. OaksLab mons seem to still go through, so either OaksLab's bots OT info haven't been flagged or they're only using nicknames.

I don't know how much he could actually find out. This seems to be an anti-hacking flag only in Home. And the Home apps weren't updated so it's entirely on the server end. Someone might be able to use a packet sniffer to find out exactly what it flags, but that's assuming it communicates all that with the client.

The ban is pointless because you can easily avoid it. Just create injected mons like pic related from Sun/Moon for Gen 7 and below mons and transfer it over to home np.

Games like Dragon Ball Fighter Z did a great ban system by providing permeant bans to players who rage quit to much and finally solved the Rage quitting problem that game had. Nintendo should have took the same approach by banning all injected mons and modifying the file to trigger wild encounter to capture

There's not much can actually do to begin with. Bots trade these mons out, they might be able to ban the bots, but they can't exactly ban OT ID and SIDs because it's something like a 1/4,000,000 chance of two players having the same ones in Gen VI and earlier, and there's still a chance in Gen VII and VIII games because that's just how RNG works. If you generate numbers in any given range, especially when you're only going up to 10 digits (6 for TID, 4 for SID), there will be duplicates.

AFAIK I'm the only person who's tested the filter and actually shared results with proof. I don't have access to Pkhex with Gen VIII games so I wasn't able to remove names on bot mons. I can tell you OaksLab OT mons aren't banned, but they were always way less obvious.

There have been a couple of pictures of people banned from Home, but that could be a banned Switch, or an account banned for another reason. There's currently no way to prove whether or not Machamps.com and _Jedi_ OTs are flagged or not because the people capable of testing that aren't dumb enough to make a bunch of illegal mons. I don't have any Machamps.com or Jedi mons so I can't duplicate the OT info in Gen VII, and I would need somebody to open one of those mons in Pkhex for me to get the SID and Trainer gender.

You can't go online with pirated games but if you own a cart or digital it works

you can have 2 switches, one with CFW and one that is legit and trade between them, you can also have a CFW setup and a legit setup on one switch, you can run an instance of the OS off the SD card where you can use CFW and blank out your serial numbers so NIntendo can't ban it for pirating.

Also SciresM has confirmed in the past they don't ban for just for running CFW, people have save edited and gone online with a save and are fine if they are own the game but that might change now?

The way to get around paying for it is to use pkhex to inject in all your pokemon from previous gens which is ironically faster than doing it using home. You miss out on being able to use the GTS but thats no real loss.

transporter only checks gen 1 and 2's box 1 for really illegal shit (unstable glitch mons, missingno, impossible movesets, etc). it's very lenient otherwise. you can even import a shiny GF mew, which is technically illegal because those are fixed with perfect stats across the board

Bank absolutely deleted people's boxes, but it was completely random.
There were people who used it when it first came out and let the year lapse and renewed their Bank when Home came out to find all of their pokemon still there, while there were others who let their banks lapse only for a month and some of their pokemon were missing or the bank was completely empty.

There's thousands of posts all over the internet about people missing stuff in their banks, and Pokemon Bank specifically says in its warnings that Pokemon in a Bank that isn't paid for will have their pokemon deleted at an unspecified amount of time.

Where? I remember searching for it a couple of years ago and there were no primary sources, only claims and rumors by random people. And there's literally nothing in the software's manual other than a warning that if the subscription runs out you will not be able to deposit new pokemon until you renew it (plus another warning saying that the subscription doesn't renew automatically, which is nice).
They do say however that pokémon "created using problematic methods" will forfeit your right to use the software.
There's also a FAQ:

>A: You can withdraw your deposited Pokémon, but you will not be able to deposit more Pokémon.

How so? AFAIK what Bank did was flip the checks for Defense and Attack IVs, so instead of looking for 10 Defense, 10 Special and 10 Speed and eight possible values for Attack, it looks for 10 Attack, 10 Special, 10 Speed and eight possible values for Defense.
Unless there's something that I'm missing about how wild pokémon are generated, both the correct and wrong methods are exactly as likely to be shiny in gen 1: 1/8192

basically in gen 1 things in grass, caves etc could never roll the stats that would translate to being shiny in gen 2. static encounters and giftmons could, though

whether GF took this into account and tweaked it on purpose, or if they actually fucked it up pre-gen 2 VC, isn't really known. either possibility is realistic knowing who we're dealing with though
