The only reason you think Gen 8 look like Pokemon is because someome told you they were and Stockholm Syndrome, not because of the actual designs themselves. Which I would argue strayed the most away from traditional Pokemon designs than any other gen. Falinks straight up looks like Kirby enemy, eiscue looks like babys first blender project, and Greedent is literally a Disney background reject.
The point, I'm getting at is that what personally consider tobe and not to be a Pokemon design is pretty much entirely subjective now.
