The worst thing about every single set of these sprites I have ever seen is that they ALWAYS feel the need to make all the Pokemon all twisted up, doing flips, overlapping themselves, upside down, just any manner of indecipherable that goes far above and beyond any of what actually occurred in gen 1/2.

A lot of them are in a "ready to attack" position, and some may come across as "off model" compared to the artwork (ignoring that the sprites came first), but there's not a single one of them randomly hopping around or doubled up on itself in a way that makes its design at all unclear.
