Groudon I guess. Zacian crowned maxes speed at 220, so you'd need either a base 149 speed full investment or a scarf user with 147 speed stat, though with 92/115/115 defenses good luck OKing it.

It's going to be interesting to see what goes on the teams if it's NOT going to be Zacian, Xerneas, and the Two Calyrex forms. The Gen 3 Legends are dead in the water for obvious reasons and the meta's moved well past every other legend from Gens 1-5 (if they were ever even viable in an unrestricted format). I could see Eternatus and Yveltal getting some use at least

Would Scarfogre really be worth running again over Zacian et al. though? It's never really been a problem of legend not being strong enough unless you're base Calyrex, it's a problem of opportunity cost.
That said, saying its was dead in the water may have been a bit harsh. It'll probably be the highest used outside of the four I mentioned by name just for the fact that scarf Water Spout in Rain probably takes a fat shit over Calyrex-SR, Zacian, and unboosted Xerneas unless they're specced to survive it specifically.

You only have one restricted, so if you bring Zacian you're using up your one restricted slot on a mon that can't dynamax. For as broken as Zacian is, having a dmax uber might just be better.

I know using Smogon as a reference is flawed, but Zacian still had an insane amount of usage even before Dynamax was restricted.

Id like to counter that argument. You usually have pokemon you dont often intend to max any way, such as choice users or support Pokémon. Sure it might be a trade odf to not get a chance to max it if push came to shove but you can easily build a team around that.

Ho-Oh. You can run wild charge but then you either sacriface one of your STABs or support moves (SD, Sub) and they can Dynamax (while resisting BB) while you cant Dynamax yourself.

It has STAB Airstream, Regenerator, busted signature move and an amazing typing vs most of the restricted meta. You only need to cover Kyogre and maybe Incineroar and you’re set for life. Its an A tier threat at worst.

I want to run a doubles team with Mewtwo and Indeedee or Tapu Lele, obviously with Mewtwo's primary job being to nuke shit with Expanding Force. I'm trying to think about how to deal with Dark-types, as well as Zacian and Shadow Rider Calyrex, who are both going to be ubiquitous and able to outspeed Mewtwo.

Understandable. Looking through the old VGC19 Mega Mewtwo teams, Nihilego seems like a common pick, I assume in order to dab on Incineroar and Yveltal. Its even better now since can run it with Power Herb+Meteor Beam for instant power boost. Zacian could be dealt with with something like Nasty Plot Rotom-H, especially since you already have Indeedee for redirection support. Shadow Rider can only be reliably countered by bulky Dark types, so perhaps Tyranitar or Incineroar?

Well Mewtwo excels at a diverse moveset. If you want Expanding Force tech you may have to scrap that in leu of something to help the speed. A Tailwind Prankster or Regieleki with Electroweb might be your safest bets there. He can also be run rsther physical if a mixed moveset appeals to you.

Zacian is gonna be shit.
Everyone and their mom will triple-counter him because of how obvious he'll be. Everyone will be prepared for it.
You want your big legend to Max and it cannot and with the only 1 legend limit you cannot have an alternative big legend to max.
The generic meta teams will be Calyrex with the ghost horse and Tornadus Tailwind + Kyogre Water Spout.

Zacians base stats and anti-Dynamax move are hard to pass on though, and there are plenty of good non restricted Dynamaxes anyways. I’d even argue it will be optimal for your restricted Pokemon to not Dynamax, since its already busted as is.

It'll also not need to worry about 4 moveslot syndrome or setting up the TR itself . Bring it on Zacian in Trick Room and Zacian needs Signiant investment in Defense and HP to not get KO'd by High Horse Power

People who know how to play the game. Just about every mon in BSS runs sets that high ELO OU players run. At the very least you get to experience high level sets that give you experience before jumping into OU if you prefer 6v6.

Calyrex’s horse forms, but mostly Calyrex-S.
Everyone brings Calyrex-S+Psychic Terrain setter, or Calyrex-I+Trickroom setter, dynamax the horse rider, and spam Max moves.
Calyrex-S is faster, and Calyrex-I is faster with Trickroom.

unaware, plus the fact that zacian can't hold a choice band while also holding rusted sword. Adamant zacian has a pretty good chance to 2hko if the pyukumuku doesn't spam recover, but if I were still playing comp and ran into a zacian that's what I'd do every time, as wild charge is eventual suicide in that situation.

This is what I'm thinking so far. Gothitelle prevents Kyogre/weather setter from swapping in and gives me tr tech, Urshifu for coverage and just being Urshifu. I wanted to try to fit an Aerodactyl on the team but that'll be 3 ice weaknesses, and while Calyrex Glace is variable (but highly anticipated) I am sure Glastrier will still be huge regardless.

This is the opposite of the case. Back when Mega Fug was legal in VGC, nobody ever used it because you burned you restricted slot AND mega slot, reducing the number of broken Pokemon on your team by one. You're better off using a stronger individual Uber like Kyogre or Zacian + another broken dynamaxer. The only way this wouldn't be true is if there's some strategy found by dynamaxing one of the ubers that's so powerful that it's virtually unbeatable without dynamaxing a uber yourself, so you're forced to use that strat or lose.

My instinct is Zekrom, but you might want to minimize on your Electric types who can benifite from the terrain. Theres an argument for both sides, and I say is ultimatley dependant on the rest of your team.
