1. Compared to every other game the evil team is not the actual story in this game
2. Some evolution methods are fugly
3. the music is really good listen to it instead of your shitty spotify playlist
4. Take your time and explore shit, this thing has sometimes stuff you could easily miss
5. don't skip dialogue.

look some people may not like it. I can only speak for myself. I didn't like gen 5 when it relased and played it during pre sm and I fell in love with that game again.
Like your rivals have some small characters arcs, therefore you will be meet them kinda often.

Regardless it's my favourite gen and the trainer sprites are top notch. Also don't forget to inject the library pass.

Actually no. But it depends, e.g. the battle sprites are somehow pixelated. Also some anons don't like the general building design, while I like them but I only play on handheld.

the sprite work itself is really good, but the 3d looks pretty bad, the first time you walk across the first bridge was a mind blower when it came out but looking back everything is super jagged and pixly, it would have aged better without the 3d

and i think this is an unpopular opinion but the battle "animations" aren't good for the most part

One of the absolute best stories pokemon had had honestly, top notch sprites, fast battle system, and some very fun characters. Then after that you get to play a direct sequel to it all. This was as kino as it gets.

Best gen that gets shit from plebs who aren’t fans of new Pokémon only. The game’s downfall is the very weak roster of early route mons - Drilbur is basically the one good mon you can add to your team super early on. If they had moved stuff like Joltik or Sandile to the first few routes the gen’s entire perception would have been different
