in reality all of those books were available for free at the library (city / county if not the school itself)

I autisticly took care of my things to the point of keeping them perfect as a small kid. I made the mistake of letting a friend borrow it and I got it back torn and ripped to shit covered in food particles. I just gave the thing away after that. I learned early on not to let "people" touch my stuff.

It's like an expanded pokedex with a few paragraphs for each pokemon and large art. It also had some tips for the games, and some straight-up false info.
I'm pretty sure it recommends using your master ball on Tentacruel.

I also remember getting the Versus Books Gold and Silver Adventure guide and being all proud of it, then when I brought it to school some fucking dickhead named Taylor had the "Perfect Guide" edition that had a Pokedex in the back.

I still have my deluxe edition(the left one). Don't have a picture since it lies at my parents' house but it is in significantly worse condition than >>46013988 as it literally was my favorite book at a child. I remember it being taped together at the seams as it was falling apart.
