And yet, the Masked guy has been presented as a force of Good in the games and the Anime, one of lighthearted fun and raw sexual energy. Children won't think too much about this and just assume that the guy behind the mask is either Alolan Oak or Lance, but every 80+IQ would realize that the happy mask is a metaphor for the social isolation and alienation such a job brings. Indeed, the masked guy is so jaded and frustrated that he has to fulfill his innermost desire of intimacy with a fake romance with Kukui's wife which is attracted to the mask, but not the person behind it. What a cruel and frightening destiny of man.
