How do I describe Rejuvenation? Essentially it's a game primarily made by one guy who unironically thought Reborn's story is god tier and decided to use the same elements for his own story. Reborn's story is VERY entertaining, sure, but I'd never call it good, and sort of has the excuse of being an adaptation of the insane IRL drama surrounding the online RP league that their community was based on. You are aware that, among other things, the suicide was based on IRL events, right?
Anyway, Rejuvenation. Take away some of the dumb tumblr stuff, and inject a fucking asston of bad anime tropes and things that barely fit into Pokemon, like an ancient tribe of wizards whose descendants freely use spells like they're fucking Harry Potter (why bother with Pokemon at all?). There are an absolute FUCKING asston of characters too. The Reborn wiki lists about 54 characters, Rejuvenation, despite being the product of mostly one person, lists AT LEAST 70. And yet, most of them don't matter compared to the giga Mary Sue that the story centers around and constantly fellates, 'Melia', who has no equivalent in Reborn in how much attention and importance she sucks up. Not like most of the characters are better, given how awful practically all of them are I'd choose the fucking Reborn crew over them.
I don't know how Rejuvenation manages to be more convoluted and absurd than Reborn, the game based around an online RP where people actually died IRL, but the guy did it. The biggest sin of the game is that it clearly doesn't want to be a Pokemon game, the dev is just riding off the Reborn/Pokemon name to tell the story of his OC mary sue waifu. It's sheer insanity. I also feel like it's more poorly balanced than Reborn, the one saving grace being that it has audino trainers.
