>>46013170Not really. You can tell differences from each. The first season of the anime, the characters look rougher and lighter. Johto smoothes them out, Hoenn is digital and so it reflects with the duller colors, they refine it by DP where the colors are more vibrant. They take it a step further in vibrancy and even gave characters more defined pupils to match the games new art. XY is the only one where the changes are less discerned, but there are some like more highlights around the characters, and more contrasts in the lighting. And SM speaks for itself. Better animation, but the key art is atrocious and the lighting flat.
The newest series imo strikes a perfect balance between the old style and SM.
