They can but I think Pokemon is a game that really would benefit from a delay because the games are bad because they're not polished, but they still have a good core gameplay loop, and they're not exactly glitchy. If Gamefreak delayed a game a good chunk of that delay would be to better presentation aspects of the game.

Not when it comes to Pokemon. Ishihara is the one in charge of merchandising and the TCG, and thus everything is centered around the schedule his branch of the triangle choses. He'd also be the one to announce a delay since he and Masuda are the essential faces of the brand.

Everything EXCEPT the Game Freak made games kid. Nintendo fund them as publisher. Or did you forget, before TPC existed, before even Pokémon Centre was set up to handle the demand for the brand, the games existed and Ishihara wasn't bothering about if people wanted Pikachu panties.
Nothing's changed, Nintendo still pay for the games, Game Freak still makes them, retarded children still think a boomer nip has any effect on his direct bosses.
