IF that happens, they'll just have the Cara Liss scientist and keep the actual fossils as wild spawns, like they did in CT. Whatever way they implement it, the fact they both result in pokémon means they *won't* be cut completely. Game Freak think long and hard over what to add, each of these things has to sell. That's why none will be deleted, or left out of the Generation entirely (because they want to keep selling everything each Gen) even if they don't all show up in one game, to sit unused in a box for autism.
