SOUL. Kanto has the most remakes, yet they never use it as an opportunity to actually make it better. Let's GO still treats the cycling road like landmass. They should also have included the gen 2 Kanto mons like Houndour and Slugma. Now I'm wondering how a Kanto reimagination would be.

This, I've wanted a true reimagining of Kanto for a new age, expanded to match the breadth of the region shown in the anime and other media. But nope, just the same uninspired 1:1 bullshit that doesn't even match the game's dialogue sometimes.

me and a friend remade cinnabar island in HGSS like OP's image but we're gonna remake the buildings (I 3D modelled the custom lab and mansion :P)

It's the greatest adventure Pokemon has ever dared to offer, you go underwater, inside/on top of volcanos, lush big rainforests, giant burial mountains, deserts with raging sandstorms, in the middle of fucking nowhere in the ocean to awake mysterious ancient golems and literally snake jesus (also on the skies above and even fucking space in ORAS)
They never recaptured this feeling of adventure again, Alola and co. all feel like artificial tourist traps

Gen 3 Hoenn had the best nooks and crannies to explore in the series. Every route had SOMETHING you could come back to explore optionally once you got the right HMs. Items, secret bases, new locations, etc.
