Mega Vensuaur: if you want a great bulky mon with only 2 weaknesses
Mega Charizard X/Y - good wallbreaker/sweeper
Mega Blastoise - it's meh but if you like it, go for it

One interesting note is that mega Blastoise can learn super effective ability-boosted moves for every single member of Diantha's team IIRC, along with naturally covering Team Flare. It's pretty good for a lot of battles in Kalos.

Why not just give us the option to choose one starter from any previous gen that’s weak to our kalos starter? (If you picked froakie you could get any fire starter etc etc)
