>>46024418I got introduced to Pokemon through X/Y. I picked the girl since, well, I’m a girl, and I’ve become infatuated with the franchise. Other and older pokemon fans I’ve met on tumblr recommended BW/B2W2, and since there were still some months to kill before ORAS released, I did just that when I went with my mom to buy second-hand copies.
anyway... the boy, Hilbert, was cute to me, and that steered me to pick him over Hilda. After I progressed a little, mom saw that I was playing as a boy and commented on it, and I lied that it was on accident. Nate didn’t really appeal to me, nor did Ethan. I picked the boy in Sun because I didn’t like the girl’s beanie, and I was annoyed with all the “fanart” she was getting, though I ended up picking girl again in UM because mom was watching me play it from the start.
but why did Game Freak ruin the boy in Sword/Shield? he’s so boring, like, he’s the absolute worst one so far. They did well with Hilbert and Calem, so it’s not that hard, they INTENTIONALLY made him boring, and that annoys me.
