Neutralizing gas. And yes Slaking would be miles better than Gigas it has a way bigger movepool and instant recovery.

You dont know what Gigas and Weezing do do you?

They have almost the same movepool.
Slaking and Regigigas have the same Speed and Attack, Slaking has more HP, Gigs slightly more Defense and a lot more Special Defense.
They are pretty much the same Pokemon under Neutralizing gas but Gigas can eventually stand alone on its feet if Weezing dies.
Also if cancermax is gone the strategy will be very weak

Drain Punch as Rest? Slaking has Slackoff.

Slaking has a much better special attack movepool and a usable 95 specall attack if it needs a suprise kill. Also Slaking as bulkup Gigas has no boosting other than anichent power and power up punch.

Nope. Dynamax turn one and unga bunga with the intention of ripping a hole so big into the enemies line they can't possibly win once you are out of max

Slaking can at least hit fast and hit hard every other turn. Protect sucks for it, but the opponents are being forced to always protect on certain turns.
