Seeing all these Sinnoh threads I gotta ask... what did you like so much about Gen 4?

The main games? The anime or other spinoffs? Or just the pokémon?

Gen 4 sucks ass outside of HGSS and PMD2 but I'm interested in seeing how many features GF cuts from the remake and how shills will defend it.

I like sinnoh because for me it invokes memories of exploring my home town and campsites when I was a kid. My exploration in the game mirrors my actual exploration of similar places in real life, both of which are memories from my childhood so they go hand in hand for me.
The reason pokemon was such a big hit for me at all is because it captured a true wonderlust I had for exploring wilderness as a kid. Sinnoh merely does this the best because it's probably the biggest and most nonlinear map in the series (even if your progression through it is ultimately pre decided) and is the most similar to where I live (canada)

Gen 4 felt slow yes but each gen has its flaws, and I think most can overall agree that mainline Pokemon games peaked in the Gen 4/5 era, with titles such as Platinum, HG/SS and B2/W2

as long as they keep the soul of the region intact it will be passable

hopefully also the size of the region/length of the game
