How exactly are you supposed to tell if a Gen 3 cart is authentic or a reproduction?

I like having physical games, that way I can pass them on to my children/let people borrow them. The RPG experience is also a lot better on physical carts for some reason

Recently started collecting the cartridges myself and the only real way to tell if its authentic if there is a imprint of a 2 digit number on the right side of the sticker. also if you can trade between all of the cartridges. usually going through local sellers instead of ebay. Check market place every once and awhile and you might get lucky. also local retro game stores are a good option too if they people who work there arent retarded

If you want to know, just look at the motherboards. Pic related; Ruby is legit and Emerald is bootleg. It's the only way tell that's 100% accurate.
