I honest believe that Pokemon has never ever been better than right now.> Multiple games avaliable to play with constant updates like Pokemon Go, Pokemon SWSH, Snap, Cafe, Pokken, Master and even more coming, for casual and hardcore audieces, different gamestyles etc. > Quality merchandise and a lot of variety when it comes to what you want, featuring a ton of Pokémon, characters etc. > The anime is just KINO and the newer movies are miles and miles better than the older ones starting with Kimi ni Kimeta.

The problem is that there's not a lot of substance. SWSH is a drop in quality from past gens. Master is terrible even by gacha standards. Pokken DX came out 4 years ago. Snap, Cafe and Go are cute, but not very deep. The former two are fluff. And nothing actually caters to hardcore audiences.
