>>46035792It couldn't hurt to give every pokemon a niche, but that niche doesn't need to be battle related. Like, luvdisc exists to farm heart scales and nothing else. It sucks, but it's a purpose, and heart scales are usually rare and quite useful
>>46035975This is objectively wrong, most good pokemon have a period where they're deadweight to balance they're emergence as powerhouses later on. See: every pseudo, gyarados, milotic, abra, etc
Even if the pokemon isn't great at the end, like spinda, that doesn't render it unusable, it just makes it a noticeably worse choice than better pokemon
