I wanted to play Platinum on DeSmuME to use the cool trade evolution Pokes but then I remembered I can't trade on emulators. Is there a way to evolve Pokemon like Magmortar and Electivire on DeSmuME?

Use PKHeX to evolve it, All you need to do to make it legal is in the OT tab put a random name in "Recent Trainer" then it'll act as if it's traded
