Speaking of Radred, how is it? I've played it before, but I lost interest at around Pewter only because of that npc talking about how "people are used to playing games for babies." I'm thinking of picking it up again but I'm curious about two things
First, are good IVs vital for this game? I know EVs are, but how about IVs. And second, can the game be completed with some shitmons in my team? There are some mons I want to use but I hope that good teambuilding can help my bros to be useful

It depends on the Pokémon you use. People like to say you don’t need good EVs or IVs to get through most of the game but some Pokémon absolutely require having good investment to be useful. As for IVs themselves, they generally aren’t necessary until the elite 4.

There’s a guy who beat the game with the Unova elemental monkeys, Mothim (though he said it didn’t really do anything), Bibarel, and Eiscue. You can do it with just about anything

There are like 3 more of those NPCs in the game i think if you wanna avoid it. I don't see how it would make you wanna drop the game, but I guess some see the line as cringe.

Not really I would say. As long as your IVs aren't zero across the board, you should be fine. Shit like dexnav also makes it very easy to find pokemon with at least 2 perfect stats.

Any shitmom with promise got reworked to be usable, and some midtiers got buffs still. Of course, NFEs and pokemon like Feebas may not be able to win, but pokemon like the elemental monkeys, cramorant, and Beedrill are at least usable or even good.

I'm so pissed off fuck the radical red creator this game isnt even fun at this point his bull shit gym leaders are annoying and op. I've even looked at fucking reddit to see other peoples strategies and none of them work. I have a full Ev trained team that always kills him down to his fucking moth or zaed which just rapes me. I've ev trained up 3 mons and caught at least 6 to try and beat him and nothing works.

Furret is apparently broken or something, and Electivire got some pretty good buffs like an added Fighting type, more Punch moves, and a buffed Iron Fist ability. There's a whole list of buffs either through stat/ability changes or movepool additions.

Shitmons that aren't jokes or "have promise" but were given bad moves, bad stats, or both. So, pokemon like Feebas, Magikarp, and any pokemon that isn't a complete joke will be buffed. The term "has promise" is a common English phrase that means that something has a chance of being successful in the future if given the adequate help or tools.

Ok. Lead with any pokemon and switch to ttar to change weather. Take down torkoal or whatever switches in. After that, another pokemon will try to set sun or volcariona will try to bug buzz ttar. Switch to zapdos and use a flying move on volcarona if that happens. After that, it should be easy. Make sure to also have a priority move to remove Typhlosion Blazing Soul. Sucker punch on ttar should work. Also, Mega Swampert after bulk ups or some power up punches can destroy with liquidation.

It does in the main games, but it might not in RadRed? It should be possible as the movesets are based off of Gen 7 for Gens 1-7 mons.

I see, What I've been doing was

Sandstorm
Switch to dragon pulse
Torkoal uses explosion kill itself but dragonpult isnt affected
dragon darts cinderace into a tie from sandstorm
Die to Venasaur
Switch to dragalge then sludge bomb it to death
Typhosion is tricky but dragalge should tie.
Then I'm fucked and the rest of my team
Charizard gets the zapdos treatment
then the rest of my team would get swept by the bug. Thank you for the advice I will try it out

Your strategy seems solid until dragapult dying to venusaur. You could probably just use u turn for a switch and go from there.
