>>46045290Humourous. Anyways let us actually discuss unova's shortcomings.
The regional dex was very hit and miss, with very forgettable designs like swanna, basculin, heatmor and boufallant. Of course, the region has some great highs such as chandelure and haxorus, and the design argument is subjective so i digress.
Yes, story in a pokemon game is indeed the wrong place to put effort in, but BW were certainly the one with the most thought put in. However, it still has very simplistic writing, which can be seen in team plasma being immediatly outed as the big bads instead of making the player listen to their arguments and debate with themselves if they are right. Bianca's encounter in nimbasa is also quite poorly handled, given she does not stand up for herself and instead the whole situation is defused by elesa, undermining bianca's development up to that point.
I also feel the need to mention how the region both feels more linear than past games (which isn't to say it doesn't have optional areas, but they are few and far between, a good deal of them locked behind surf), the pokedex being limited to only unovan mons (which is a decision i understand yet dislike given my general distaste for the pokedex of the region) and many pokemon evolving very late into your journey (the larvesta and deino lines evolve after you pass ghetsis in levels, and the mienshao, bisharp, mandibuzz and braviary lines are all on the 50s, a shame since all of them are on the better side of the dex).
I must also ask, why are you so insecure anon? It's completely fine that some people dislike what you like, it shouldn't take away from your enjoyment of it. Furhtermore, your need to simplify and make a mockery of the opposition's points are indicatives of either a belief that the unovan games are flawless or middle school levels of argumentation, and for the sake of your reputation i will take the former as true. Why?
